Functional Capacity Assessments for NDIS funding

We provide comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) to identify and record funding needs for NDIS plans. This includes assessment for:

  • equipment
  • therapy
  • home modifications
  • aids and appliances,
  • other capacity building
  • daily living support needs (your future needs for NDIS funding).

We also outline core supports and care needs as part of our thorough evaluation process.

Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments

We provide assessments for participants that want to access Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding in the NDIS. Our SDA assessments address all criteria required to be presented in a participant’s Housing Plan to test their eligibility for SDA.

Manual handling assessments and protocols

Your Positive Approach occupational therapist will help you and your support team review how you move and find ways to help you do it more easily or safely. This may include trying equipment such as slide boards or hoists. We will write instructions (protocols) to help your paid support people move you safely and consistently.

Specialist Equipment

We work with you to find equipment to make things easier. From small aids for the kitchen, to specialist beds to switch-adapted appliances, we specialise in finding creative solutions. We will provide reports to assist with funding for your equipment.
